About Us

and our history with German pinschers

In 1997, Angela adopted a “German pinscher” from a Doberman rescue in the Northeast.  As it turned out, the dog wasn’t a German pinscher, but a small Doberman with heart problems. He died in 1999 and Angela purchased her first German pinscher, Lakai Red to Blue Alkalu CD RN CGC TT.

Angela joined the national breed club, The German pinscher Club of America and began competing in AKC obedience and rally with “Blue” after the breed was recognized by the AKC.

Angela has owned multiple German pinschers over the years, and she and Richard acquired their first conformation dog, CH Nevars Lylah in 2008.  Our second conformation dog, GCHB CH Nevars Querida Mia zu den Wolken has shown exceptionally well ever since she was a puppy.

We are committed to breeding German pinschers which meet the breed standard, have excellent temperaments and have passed all recommended health tests. Our dogs live in our home as members of our family and are considered pets first, show dogs second.

In addition to the German pinschers, we have a rat terrier adopted from a shelter and our agility chihuahua, Tip's Rhys Sebastian Zu Den Wolken NAJ.

We live with our dogs in the mountains of Northern New Mexico at 7300 ft. Our kennel name, "von der Wolken" is German for "from the clouds".
